Monday, October 23, 2006 SPRING CLEANING! ♥ 12:59 AM
Today was tiringggggggg! We did deliveries today, Kak Yana, Ibu G and I. Kak Yana got Haagen Daaz ice-cream mooncakes from Farhan, which she later shared with me, and I was much loving the mango sorbet at the center! Ahh, the things you do to win the approval of your intended future mother-in-law. There wasn't much to deliver, thank god.
After doing deliveries, we headed to Granny's to clean her house. Ever since Nenek's eyesight had worsened, the house is hardly clean. It's bearable, but not clean enough. Cleaning every corner of the house was heart-wrenching. It was so dusty that I kept coughing and I swear I felt like burning the flat down. It was in bad shape, what with the recent renovations going on. The contractors took no initiative to ensure that the gravel were cleared, and I ended up sweeping stones that were left hidden in very hard to reach places. Anyway, it was fun though. I actually enjoyed it. REALLY.
I didn't get to bake macaroons or cookies, but I will, tomorrow.
PS: I'm downloading Goong OST. Please don't kill me. Kak Yana said that she'd send me the song when she's less busy, but I can hardly wait for it. I want to hear it at night on my bed tonight.
It's pathetic how I have to take a bus or drive, for that matter, to get to the NEAREST 7-11 convenience store. The convenience store that was supposedly opened 24 hours at Fernvale Point was ironically closed at 11pm. Besides, the name of the store is stupid. GIGI CONVENIENCE STORE. GIGI means TOOTH(or TEETH if plural) in Malay. Funny funny pun.
We passed by Geylang, as Ibu G had to drop by Joo Chiat Complex to collect her curtains that were ready. The place was packed, as usual, but it lacks the ambience that Geylang was originally known for. And Kampong Glam can never replace Geylang Serai.
Last year, I remember dropping by the bazaar to oogle at the good-looking guys frying burgers and DengDeng. This year, I walk pass these same people and just, shrugged. It just doesn't feel like Hari Raya these days. It just doesn't feel like I'm fasting. I just feel that I'm not allowed to eat, but I hardly feel the meaning of fasting and it scares me how I might someday be those people sitting at food courts in broad daylight munching on food way before Maghrib, without a care in the world and without a tinge of embarrassment on their thick faces.
PPS: Omg, I just clicked the Download button and to my horror, pictures of women exposing their cleavage appeared on my screen. Gee. Did I just downloaded Porn? Omg, I am so not a pervert. Someone please just send me the song. My MSN is down and out. GAHH send it to my email please.
I've changed my skin. I feel like a crazy fanatic fan of Goong, and I fear that nobody will take me seriously because they'd think I'm some stupid teenager caught up in a world of fantasy and obsession with Korean Drama series that are, at the end of the day, television series. I had to prevent something like that from happening!
I'd go crazy if I do not get hold of the OST today!
GAHHH I WANT GOONG OST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SEND IT TO MY EMAIL.
By the way, I saw the Bujang Lapoks at my Granny's today. Yes, Mahathir, Taufiq and Fitri, I saw you guys. All three of you. They were busy kicking each other's asses that they didn't notice me and Kak Yana walking past. I wanted to call out their names and say Hello and tell them how I have not seen them in ages, but I wasn't feeling nostalgic enough to go to that extent.
