The True Beginning Of Our End. ♥ 4:52 PM

Othello - Love, Lust & Betrayal. The only thing I thought was worth my money was the program. It was black and gold and the font was pretty. IT had tricked me into thinking that the play would be a good one. The cast was great, except, the guy who played Iago was, err, not quite my vision of the sort of man Iago would be. Then again, Iago is a difficult character to play. But I'm not going to hide my disappointment.

My PW group left early as we had to do our GPP, which was due on Friday. Shane and Taufongwen were just rude. We headed to Plaza Singapura while waiting for Midsummer Night's Dream to start and the rain to stop. Meanwhile, met Lester up in her retainers. She speaks like a small kid, I swear.

After that, we split up as Daphne wanted to go to Vivo to change her sweater from River Island and Taufongwen was, as usual, looking for a reason to shop. So they went to shop without me. Sigh. I need to go shopping. I'm broke from buying my mother a handbag.

Things I need to buy:
1. SHOES
2. TOPS
3. SKINNY JEANS
4. BAGS
5. A NEW HANDPHONE

Okay. :):):) Those are hints. If you feel like a Samaritan, if you think you want to make my day, well, I've given you a list.

Back to SRT's Midsummer Night's Dream.
IT WAS THE BOMB!
Sue and I initially got seats that were not very nice, as it was at the side and it was far from the walkways the actors were going to be on. The view was bad. Anyway, they rest came and settled there.

Then, Sue and I got a call from Rash saying that her area, which was along the walkway, had space for about three of us. We took the opportunity, and we finally met Najib after hearing so much about him from her.

I loved the play! :)
It is one of Shakespeare's most magical play.

Its setting was fantabulous. It was at the Fort Canning Park, and we were sitting on mats with picnic baskets.

The sound system was commendable- They ran the show on wireless and the professional actors were a much needed change compared to Othello.

The lightings were great. The neon props were big and colourful. The costumes were magical. The fairies were pretty creatures. I liked Oberon's man, the one in those hot pants.

The cast was fantastic. Everyone played their characters accordingly, and the best thing about the play was that it incorporated Singaporean humour effectively into the play with changing any of the elements laid out by Shakespeare. The humour and the element of madness was very intact, and I do enjoy the many sexual connotations to the play.

I especially liked Park for his mischief and Bottom, for his role in humour.

Take me to MND again, somebody please :)
